Sleepers Club – “Nothing Feels Right”

/

Exploring the grief of adulthood within a shoegaze-charged production, “Nothing Feels Right” is the third single from Sleepers Club. The Seattle-based act grabbed us with the excellent track “Freakin Out” last month, and unveils a layered, more patiently unfolding charm with “Nothing Feels Right.” They describe this latest release as taking inspiration from “watching your friend groups fade and change – the feeling of growing up, and apart.”

The duo of Sydney Ward and Damon Moon immerse with another engaging production. Ward’s vocals enamor with retrospective allure amidst fuzzy guitar tones, “Remembering the days on the stoop, that’s no longer what we do,” the vocals let out, attaining a dazed charm in the “nothing feels right” segments as well. Perspectives of simpler times, and their warming qualities, coexist with layered rock enthrallment on the stellar “Nothing Feels Right.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
