Living Set – “Last Wave”

/

Austin-based band Living Set unveil a ghostly, dreamy noise-pop appeal on new single “Last Wave” — maneuvering seamlessly from a lush array of synths and percussive pit-pattering into a textural, noisy invigoration. “You and I were growing old together in the dark,” the mystique-filled vocals let out as the momentum builds, culminating in moody guitar tones and multi-layered vocals that echo both post-punk and dreamy pop elements.

A hypnotic spell takes hold across the first half, then arriving into a final minute with a blissful array of guitar distortion. “Last Wave” is a dynamic, riveting success from Living Set, which comprises Quin Galavis (Dead Space), Annecy Liddell (Knife in the Water),Matt Hammer (Strange Boys, Black Joe Lewis), and Lex Trevino.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
