Nata – “Wake Me Up”

Paris-based duo Nata crafts an artful pop momentum on “Wake Me Up,” traversing seamlessly from a dark, haunting introspection into a vibrant central hook — exuding a title-touting allure amidst radiant synth lines.

Solemn piano and a rainy-day ambience flow into a soulful vocal immersion. “Some strange feeling’s in my heart, beating faster,” the vocals let out, bolstered thereafter by a pulsing rhythmic element and swelling electronic tone. The climactic progression into the ensuing hook is infectiously done, while the “wake me up!” vocal call invigorates — cohesively navigating from the more debonair delivery in the verses to the soaring, bright demeanor in the main refrain.

A stutter-y vocal effect takes strong hold as well, melding with the electro-pop sturdiness as the conclusion arrives. Succeeding in both emotive captivation and danceable effervescence, “=”Wake Me Up” is a stirring success from Nata.
