Zoos – “Letting Go”

/

The first single from Brooklyn-based band Zoos following a four-year hiatus, “Letting Go” achieves a balance of moody rock intrigue and anthemic vocal outpourings. A spacious, nocturnal soundscape emanates right away, as glistening guitars and spacey synth intertwine into a bustling bass bounce and steady percussive pulse.

The lushly absorbing vocal introspection furthers that late-night feeling in the “all night, all night, this one really got away” laments, venturing into a fervent vocal effervescence as twanging guitars align with the yearning, melodic sentiments. A stylish, replay-inducing success, “Letting Go” is a fantastic return from Zoos.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
