Captivating in its swell from twangy rock intrigue into haunting vocal ascents and thrilling bursts of hard-rocking vigor, “Elated” is a fantastic single released today from Lua & the Nightflowers. The four-piece, formed in Hollywood, delight with their eclectic range from soft-rock lushness to alt-rock heaviness, propelled further by a riveting vocal presence and introspective lyricism as the accompanying instrumentation builds with feverish enthrallment.
“I feel elated, celebrated, and adored,” the vocals let out amidst forlorn guitar twangs, then lamenting on a state of personal sedation — moving with climactic appeal as a retrospective, winter-set movement takes hold. The “when the winter got too cold” vocal signals an enveloping expanse, culminating in a haunting “dawn” vocal elongation and “gotta get back home” beckoning. “Elated” is a gorgeous, ghostly standout in songwriting and production from Lua & the Nightflowers.
