Rodrigo Etcheto – ‘Everything Flows’ EP

San Antonio-based electronic artist Rodrigo Etcheto envelops on his debut EP, Everything Flows, with a captivating blend of lush electronic textures, hypnotic rhythms, and piano-laden introspection. From the elegant strings and throbbing pulses of “112358” to the nostalgic synth arpeggios of “Aurelian Antoninus Galacticus,” the tracks balance serenity and infectious energy with ease — also showing well in their visually striking music video accompaniments, here.

“112358” opens the EP with dynamic captivation, intertwining elegant strings and sporadic electronic pulses as the track unfolds into a more throbbing rhythmic presence. The bouncy synths meld with caressing strings for a lovely, hypnotic atmospheric pull — simultaneously serene and infectious. The ensuing “Aurelian Antoninus Galacticus” also succeeds in its combination of lush and catchy, seamlessly infusing sharp synth nostalgia with arp-y appeal amidst a warmly consistent rhythmic backdrop.

Another standout track, “Looss Yielo” mesmerizes with its stunning assortment of relaxing keys, touches of strings, and an arp-y synth undercurrent; it reminds fondly of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s later cinematic-styled works. EP finale “The Last Natural Human” also excels in its interactions between spacey synths and relaxing piano tones, crafting a nocturnal-friendly soundscape with starry-eyed appeal. Succeeding in atmosphere and melody, Everything Flows is a stirring success from Rodrigo Etcheto.
