Gothenburg-based artist and professor Amir Haj-Bolouri, known under his musical moniker Yellow Majesty, unveils a passionate artistry on new single “YOU ARE AN IDIOT” — which we’re premiering today alongside its vivid music video. The third preview from his forthcoming album APHANTAZIA, the track confronts humanity’s fixation on validation and self-image through a volatile blend of electronic vigor and rock-driven force.
The accompanying video, directed and animated by Inari Sirola, mirrors the beautiful chaos in vivid color. Colorful animations match with the various lyrical segments, with fire in the background during the lyrical burning moments, and the animated character mouthing the title-bearing hook.
On the audio side, the track ventures with dynamic tonal entrancement, commencing with pit-pattering rhythms and a fervent vocal disposition. “Do you think you have it all? Well, you better think again,” the biting lyricism exudes, repeating as buzzing synths and panting rhythms expand the production into a vigor-filled captivation.
