ADORIA – “Going Round”

Valence, France-based project Adoria unveils a hauntingly immersive sonic world with “Going Round,” one of many memorable tracks from their self-titled album. Combining spacey synths, jangling guitars, and dynamic vocal emotion, the track fuses nocturnal eeriness with affectionate warmth, reflecting Adoria’s genre-spanning journey through love, passion, and creative exploration.

A delectably otherworldly atmosphere emanates from the track’s soundscape, simultaneously uneasy and intriguingly melodic. Spacey frequencies ring out to start, quickly bolstered by jangling guitars and a pulsating synth-bass undercurrent. “I’m drunken about love,” haunting vocals let out. The woozy, nocturnal initial entrancement attains a lusher, affectionate charm as the vocals emit “I love you so-o-o-o-o” amidst swaying bounces of guitar jangles and crisp, icy-cold rhythms.

“I love you so,” the vocals repeat into lonesome guitar twangs and ghostly synth elements — continuing those smitten sentiments in professing “you’re the one that I love.” Continued displays of commitment — willing to “die for” and “kill for” — invoke a chillier element, yearning for eternal passion in the concluding, soulful vocal output: “Twin flames, we be burning / It’s only the beginning, I feel so much alive.” One of many highlights from the artist’s self-titled album, “Going Round” is a wonderfully eerie pop success from ADORIA.
