Seattle-based artist Stella Lovell crafts a haunting yet serene captivation on newly released track “Delicate,” representing the first single from her upcoming EP. “I made this song because I missed this feeling,” Lovell explains. “The pit in your stomach kind of childlike feeling, that feeling when you get deja vu for something that is completely original and brand new.”
“Say something delicate to me,” a subdued vocal beckoning pairs with a folk-ready guitar trickling. A gorgeous clarinet addition adds with subtle though impactful charm shortly thereafter, navigating to a beautiful “with you” vocal repetition — feeling reflective of a hazy, smitten obsession in its “with you on/in my head.” Twinkling, dreamy keys add wonderfully to the “I’ll feel just fine” outro, concluding the track with emotively gripping sincerity. “Delicate” has us thoroughly anticipating Stella Lovell’s forthcoming EP.
