Micah Jameson – “Spiderwalk”

Out today, “Spiderwalk” is a lushly inviting single from Micah Jameson, an artist born in Colorado, raised in Australia and Texas, and now based in South Carolina. “I bent over backwards, spider walking enough,” Jameson’s vocals emerge, embracing a melodic, dreamy hip-hop disposition as spacey synths, steady rhythms, and soulful wordless backing harmonies meld seamlessly.

“Bigger things are coming, had a bigger premonition,” his vocals continue into a hooky “get off the ledge” beckoning. The starry-eyed synth work continues with consistent tonal flow throughout, while the alternating vocal presences delight in their cohesive shifts — consuming especially as twanging guitar bursts emerge past the three-minute mark. “Spiderwalk” is a blissfully intriguing standout from Micah Jameson.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
