Run With The Stars is an immersive electro-pop EP from Parisian brothers Myoon. Blending vibe-y analog synths with organic textures, the collection balances vocal and instrumental pieces to craft cosmic, late-night soundscapes. Augustin’s production and Charles’s evocative vocals create a refined sound inspired by French Touch and classic indie-pop.
A hypnotic, affecting pop spell takes hold on “Boom Boom,” expanding from dreamy intrigue and smitten lyricism into a bouncy bass pulse and dancefloor references. “You got me dancing, here I am,” the vocals progress, arriving into a caressingly multi-layered gorgeousness with washes of gentle guitars and serene bird-chirping samples; the result is a lushly absorbing pop gem. The ensuing “Forward” rides on a spacey synth momentum, expanding from warbly vibrancy into playful percussion as a starry-eyed appeal lingers throughout. “Forward” resembles a spacefaring-set comedown, sandwiched between emotive pop stunner “Boom Boom” and the funky synth-pop charisma of “Dreamer,” which pairs synth-led glitziness and driving rhythmic prowess.
Another standout sequence shows in the darkly impactful “Dark World,” where resonating synth arps move with nighttime-set entrancement, and the subsequent title track. There, elegant piano beginnings become bolstered by heartfelt strings and jangly guitar tones, followed by an array of both leading vocal passion and reverbed, stutter-y reflections. “I don’t know how to say, what’s been on my mind all day,” the vocals admit. “I think I’m falling in love with you.” The state of adoration is conveyed wonderfully alongside another atmospheric pop production, striking in its melodic layers and climactic structure. Run With The Stars is an invitingly memorable success of an EP from Myoon.
