deadPEASNTS – “Forecasted Storms”

Jangly guitar lushness and melodic, emotive vocals stir on “Forecasted Storms,” an enveloping new track from deadPEASNTS, a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer based in Berlin. Coming from an EP of the same name, “Forecasted Storms” develops from initial haziness into a fantastic guitar-led finale, where twangy free-flowing aligns with wordless vocal haunts.

“You say that you’re begging my pardon, when you tell me the way to be,” serene vocals let out alongside balmy guitar strums, escalating into harmonious vocal layers. Trickling guitar additions approach the three-minute mark with especially magnetic qualities, with the “when you end up alone” vocal solemnity driving into the affecting finale, drawing from psychedelia and Motown in the caressing vocal harmonies and excellent guitar work. “Forecasted Storms” is a moody rock standout from deadPEASNTS.
