Madeleine Rose – “Caroline”

Los Angeles-based artist Madeleine Rose achieves a warming folk-pop sound on new single “Caroline,” whose “quiet summer night” lyrical scene-setting and “had a breakthrough” vocal catharsis build gorgeously amidst trickling guitars and understated percussion. “Where did the time go?” her vocals soar during the magnetic chorus, bolstered by layered backing reflections as electric twangs and folk-ready acoustics intermingle, culminating in a blissful “until we meet again” hopeful refrain and bird-chirping finale. Originally from San Francisco, Madeleine Rose thoroughly compels with the standout “Caroline.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
