Belfast-based act Cognitive Constellation Corps blends sleek indie-pop structures with reflective electronic landscapes on Thank You for Your Feedback (i). Interweaving soft vocal lines, arpeggiated synth cycles, and glitch-infused textures, the album converts automated procedural phrases into a poignant inquiry on personal adaptation and human-technological feedback. The project represents the vision of artist Brooke Tamsin Clevenger, who harnesses the conceptual “exploration of feedback, repetition, and the strange intimacy that emerges through sustained interaction with responsive systems.”

The introductory “Opening Loop (i)” weaves dreamy melodic entrancement and lushly caressing synths. “The loop became real,” the opening line intones, signaling a lovely expanse of instrumentation, primarily through higher-pitched melodic ascents and warming rhythmic satiation, before a lullaby-like allure brings the track to a close. The ensuing “Signal Received (i)” struts a brisker electronic pop charm, with pulsing synths building with arpeggiated colorfulness as Clevenger declares, “I sent the signal out.” The title-bearing hook is especially delightful, featuring spacey synth tones and serenely impactful singing. “You change my shape…” the lyrics exude, representing a sort of personal renewal in its thematic aims.

The title track is another standout, also representing themes of personal change and renewal. “You said I spoke too loud, too soft, too much, too soon,” Clevenger sings. “So I rewrote myself in lower case, made every echo safe to taste.” The electronic pop production plays like a lovely mixture of Hot Chip and Junior Boys in its smooth, heartfelt execution, arriving at a “now I see the loop” affirmation, where one realizes that the other side of the relationship is more self-serving than loving. Emotive, hooky songwriting continues throughout, from the trickling synths and self-awareness within “The Curve of Clarity (i)” to the distorted ardor of “Harmonic Distortion (i),” embracing a glitchier, suave pop realm that contrasts with the album’s tranquilly colorful mixes while remaining just as compelling. Thank You for Your Feedback (i) is a fantastic electronic pop full-length from Cognitive Constellation Corps.
