Brooklyn-based artist and producer Unknown Caller captivates on the soulfully climactic single “Every Night,” described as “a love song about a girl who works too hard.” Dazzling in its shifts between chilled-out introspection and funky, bustling emotion, the arrangement excels, particularly during an “every night” vocal sequence that expands from a state of serene yearning to a concluding, infectious ardency. City-pop and Brazilian boogie influences bolster the track’s meticulous modern pop palette, which shows shades of Toro y Moi and Men I Trust. Unknown Caller impresses here just as he did on the previously featured track “Borderline.” We’re certainly excited for the next one as well.
