Vandor Worden – “Work to the Shape”

A moody success from Vandor Worden, “Work to the Shape” envelops with its steady guitar strums and escalating vocal harmonies. Representing the third track from Vandor Worden’s debut album, “Work to the Shape” commences with an understated yet impactful questioning: “Will you be home tonight? Will I see you there in the bed?” Chilly backing vocals bolster the memorable lead, resembling an absorbing cross of Elliott Smith and Sean Lennon. The “do-do-do” vocal harmonizing lends a playful charm in between the verses, whose ‘I’ve been working double time’ ruminations are bolstered by gentle guitar twanging. “Work to the Shape” is a fully enveloping showing from Vandor Worden.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
