ICELANDIA – “Low Light Neon Dream”

A dreamy pop track taking influence from ’80s nostalgia, “Low Light Neon Dream” is a memorable output from Canadian project ICELANDIA. Serene keys and airy vocal chills open the track with alluring, atmospheric qualities. “In the loneliness beyond the pines, tumble down from it, holy barren lands,” the vocals let out, with depictions of valleys and “hills of desert wastelands” furthering the grippingly immersive soundscape. An especially absorbing sequence emerges in the “I return to you” entrancement, followed by gorgeously spacious synths and hypnotic backing vocals. A brass-like tone also stirs in the riveting finale. “Low Light Neon Dream” is a vibey pop success from ICELANDIA.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
