Tell – “Ivory”

/

Tell are a new two-piece from Brooklyn, who plan on releasing a 7-song EP in the upcoming months. If new track “Ivory” is any indication, Tell will be rising quickly throughout the Brooklyn scene and beyond. The track showcases a richly reverberating, guitar-led soundscape that reminds of Fleet Foxes, the calming vocals working under twangy guitars and a steady rhythm section. Percussion perks up a bit at 01:28 to coincide with an anthemic vocal direction, mixing things up a bit as the track reaches its mid-point. A very fine piece of songwriting, “Ivory” is good indication of what’s to come from this talented Brooklyn-based duo.

“Ivory” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2018’ Spotify playlist.
