Showing a pleasant vein of folk-pop, Highbeams are an Atlanta-based trio that emphasize optimism and fluttering melodies on new track “Someday”, a highlight off their new album Keep Meaning It. The “someday I’ll begin to begin again / someday I’ll be strong,” repetition works nicely with the dual-vocal harmonies and acoustical fluttering. An anthem for anyone feeling like an outsider, “Someday” is well-meaning and springtime-feeling effort. The trio of brothers – Adam Pendlington, Ian Pendlington, and Stephen Quinn – show promise here.
