Ferdous – “Overdrive”

/

Released today, “Overdrive” showcases the lush, hypnotic electronic-pop production of Ferdous. Aesthetically, the track recalls the likes of Junior Boys and Toro y Moi, showing a relaxed vibe that steadily evolves with memorable melodic and atmospheric growth. The vocals are cool and gripping throughout, especially during the lush bridge as the two-minute mark approaches. The “heart in overdrive,” hook is hypnotic and easy to enjoyably anticipate. “Overdrive” — released alongside with “Eventually” today — is easy to get lost in.

Ferdous is an Afghan-Dutch artist/songwriter/producer who releases music via his electronica alias TRACE7000 (Turbo Recordings) and works as writer and producer in pop duo Klyne.

“Overdrive” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Lush Indie Electronic.
