  1. Thanks so much for all the great music, you have introduced me to some of my favorite new bands, good work.
I would add to the best of 2007 list:
    A Place to Bury Strangers
    Beirut
    Crystal Castles
    Editors
    Enon
    Grinderman
    Grizzly Bear
    Hadouken
    Nathan Lawr and the Minotaurs
    The Horrors
    The Ponys

  2. Thanks for the great list! Hopefully 2008 will be filled with as much talent. I would have incorporated the following in the best of 07′ list:

    Andrew Bird – Armchair Apocrypha
    Calla – Strength in Numbers
Band of Horses – Cease to Begin
    The New Pornographers – Challengers
Okkervil River – The Stage Names
Pinback – Autumn of the Seraphs
Shout Out Louds – Our Ill Will
Simian Mobile Disco – Attach Sustain Decay Release
Stars – In Our Bedroom After the War
    Voxtrot – Voxtrot
    Ween – La Cucaracha

Just started a blog @ chilireviews.com to help spread the indie spirit. Check it out.

  3. My vote for Best Band of 2007 “Villa Vina” can be found on my fan profile at:
http://soundsugar.net/jamphetamines ….This is a band I found at Irving Plaza in NYC and is one of the best progressive bands around. They get more sound out of three instruments ….Guitar, Bass and Drums than the New York Philharmonic…..check ’em out

  4. There aren’t very many bands on here that I haven’t heard of, but out of those few I have found some very brilliant bands. Thanks a bunch!
