Based out of Long Island, Sir Cadian Rhythm is a slick-sounding quintet that combines radio-friendly alt-rock/pop hooks with flourishes of jazz, an example of the group’s stylistically eclectic backgrounds. Sir Cadian Rhythm’s members include music teachers, Juilliard graduates, poets and award-winning jazz performers. Their various musical backgrounds meld to create a sound that at times ranges anywhere from Maroon 5 and Jane’s Addiction to Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead. Their new single, “Run Around Town”, touts a fun anthemic chorus alongside joyous guitar riffs and suave reflective keyboards, which complement the Brandon Boyd-esque vocals nicely.
