FADES – “Breaking Through the Walls”

fades music

Fans of anthemic rock in the vein of Queens of the Stone Age will likely be smitten with FADES’ new track “Breaking Through the Walls”, which has most of the style’s trademarks in infectious form. The band did name themselves after the QotSA song “In The Fade”, after all. Theatrical full-throttle vocals, a fierce one-two rhythm/lead guitar punch, frantic percussion, and a simple yet effective chorus elevate this track to its heights. The London-based five-piece shows a good amount of similar energy throughout their new EP, out March 11th. “Breaking Through the Walls” is its lead single, and likely an indication of what to expect – with guitar crunches and sincerely emotional vocals leading the way.
