FADES – “Breaking Through the Walls”

fades music

The London alt-rock quintet FADES draw inspiration for their name from the Queens of the Stone Age song “In The Fade”. With “Breaking Through the Walls”, FADES also sound like their idols, with searing guitars solo growling intensely over Grohl-esque drums that command attention the second you hit play.  Soon, charismatic frontman Josh Woo takes the stage with ’80s hard-rock anthem vocals, delivering a rollicking chorus that recalls Velvet Revolver’s enthusiasm.

In a former life (or 2014), the band was known as Metasic and released one EP (Falling Into Place). With a new name and EP arriving on March 10, the group seem re-energized and ready for action.
