I’m not really keen on posting covers, and especially those of famous tracks, but I’m always fond of orchestral ambitions taking hold of more pop and rock-oriented originals. Classically trained Atlanta alternative quartet Von Grey accomplish such on their take of Radiohead’s “Creep”, with soaring vocals, crunchy guitars, and yearning strings resulting in a very engrossing re-imagining. The track’s bitterness and melancholy are captured well with the string-laden additions and ghostly vocal duets. The group has played everywhere from Conan and Letterman to Bonnaroo and SXSW, and it’s easy to hear why.

Wow. Just love this. I’m looking forward to when this band blows up. It’s inevitable. Solid musicianship. Great vocals / look. Good management from what I can see. I’m calling this one now for 2017.
