Flaviyake – “Bad in Bed”

Los Angeles-based pop act Flaviyake shows a spacey, engaging vein of songwriting, which on new track “Bad in Bed” explores submission and BDSM in general. A chiming synth-led bounce leads the peppy vocals, A relatively frantic bridge around the two-minute mark helps provide some diversity to the fairly conventional pop structure, though the atmosphere and smattering of interesting structural ideas remind of Grimes at points. Flaviyake crafts an alluring, interesting sound with thought-provoking lyrical themes that makes her an act to watch.
