Alex Siegel – “Easy”

California-based Alex Siegel impressed this past May with the beautiful track “Good Leg“, recalling the likes of Paul Simon and Cat Stevens in its breezy melodies and easy-going pace. Siegel crafts a timeless-sounding vein of folk that incorporates his caressing vocals and melodic songwriting, showcased throughout his album Röykkä, which was recorded in the countryside of Finland in autumn with co-producer Matti Kari, and released on May 20th. The release is aptly described as “equal parts laid-back, sunny California and colorful, cool Scandinavia.” Another highlight from the release, “Easy” builds off Siegel’s soaring voice and brisk acoustical pace for the first few minutes, launching into a stunning string-laden shimmer in the final minute. Incorporating elements of ’70s and modern-day folk, Alex Siegel is creating special music.
