Peak Body – “Feelings”

/

Peak Body are a minimalist electronic post-punk duo from Hobart, Tasmania, who released their debut self-titled EP on cassette and digital this past week. Consisting of Emma Marson (Catsuit) and Jordan Marson (Naked, Paint Your Golden Face), Peak Body craft a vein of subdued, lush pop with post-punk rhythms and an electronic-tinged arsenal. Single “Life’s Hard” features a hypnotic structure and very post-punk-driven bass line and sparse percussion. More expansive is the fuzzy “Feelings”, where Marson’s soft vocals mesh with lush guitar distortion and playful keys for another hypnotic success.
