WooliebuGGer – based out of Aurora, Illinois – states that he’s “inspired everyday by the idea of what can be accomplished.” The electronic producer began creating music at age 14, tackling a variety of styles from mimimalist and ambient to glitch-pop. Growing up on ’90s electronic sounds, like Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin, WooliebuGGer’s sound has a futuristic atmosphere, with an effervescent ’80s-tinged gloss on new track “Constant Evolution parts 1 & 2”. The 13-minute journey works off a buzzing synth arp that descends in prominence the final one-third, into a lush whirring with percussive minimalism. It’s a subtle, gradual evolution that plays well to the futuristic soundscape and natural synth-driven expansion.
