“Breed” is an ethereal and immersive new track from Spanish duo Étoimoi, who are releasing their first LP with the Spanish label Discos FUP. The excellent “Breed” features the vocals of Johanna Amelie, which glide with angelic beauty over instrumentation that alternates between calmly clanking minimalism (around the three-minute mark) into a more rhythmically aided, dark electro-pop vein (one-minute mark). The track shows ample tonal variety in its approximately five-minute runtime, all while sounding cohesive and naturally evolving. “Breed” has a dark tint, though also one that’s calming and riveting.
