Sasha Cay – “Pour Some Water”

Showing a lush, lo-fi rock sound that’s fit for a Monday, the Sink Your Teeth EP is a new release from Montreal-based artist Sasha Cay. This fall, Sasha opened for HOMESHAKE, before dropping a bedroom-recorded EP and playing a few more festivals. Among the highlights on the EP is “Pour Some Water,” where caressing vocals, soft acoustics, and a sporadic bass line establishes a captivating feel. The mid-point sees some considerable expansion from the hypnotic beginning, with lush rainy-day organs and a symphonic-like backing brooding closing the track off with resounding success.

“Pour Some Water” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2018’ Spotify playlist.
