Tyler Miles – ‘Past The Point’ EP

//

After impressing with the track “Think and Spin” last year, Tyler Miles now has a new EP out, Past The Point. The release is streaming in full above. Fans of Ariel Pink and John Maus are likely to adore the project’s aesthetic, capturing a variety of successful sounds. “Make It Work” is more on the Maus side of things, showing a nonchalant vocal presence over synth/key-driven melodies. With its hypnotic guitars, “Pocketful of Pretty Things” is another highlight, and my favorite of the bunch. Miles crafts an enticing aesthetic, and tops it with catchy melodies and striking song structures that make this EP a recommended listen, for sure.
