“Heart Beats” shows a fun, rockin’ sound with a power-pop flair, reminding me of Teenage Fanclub fondly. It’s a catchy, addictive effort from Connecticut-based act The Twelve AM. The “like my band,” vocal hook particularly impresses; it’s a winner of a hook, followed by the melodic blast of guitars just past the one-minute mark. Straightforwardly melodic and wholly effective in that Teenage Fanclub-like power-pop feel. Touting a melodic, hooky feel with warm waves of guitar and power-pop vocals, “Heart Beats” is a very solid track.
