Triangle Head – “Roll It Up”

//

Triangle Head is a Melbourne-based producer whose new track “Roll It Up” impresses with deft sample usage. It’s cold here in the USA, but in Australia it’s still summer — and certainly this is a track with shimmering, sun-shining vibes. Various vocal parts play brilliantly, with an Avalanches-esque feel as the symphonic lead-in at 01:32 captivates. The artist describes the effort as “a sample-based duet about lapsed love, containing slices of soul, funk, RNB and motown,” and those genres feel perfectly amalgamated on this joyful success.

“Roll It Up” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Funk and Soul.
