argonaut&wasp – “Composure”

/

The lush and hooky synth-pop effort “Composure” comes from Brooklyn duo argonaut&wasp, who describe the track as “a song about the intersection of love and memory.” Having recently signed to +1 Records, this is their first release with the label, and it’s a great showing. The infectious little vocal sample repeated throughout plays with effervescent charm, while the glistening synths in the verses complement the mellow pop pace, which perks up during the fantastic guitar-aided chorus. Touting ample replay value, “Composure” is a stellar release from this rising Brooklyn duo comprised of Theo and Trey.

“Composure” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Catchy Indie Pop.
