Claudio – “Flowers”

/

Claudio is an Australian producer, vocalist, and composer, who crafts an atmospheric, emotional sound throughout new EP To Kill an Empath. Aesthetically, I’m reminded of a more contemplative Little Dragon, with nocturnal synth tones co-existing with a moving pop melodic form. Claudio’s quivering vocal presence plays with hypnotic allure, ascending especially as the two-minute mark approach. The “send me flowers,” repetition works beautifully within the song structure, as a reprieve to set up for each emotive escalation.

Claudio has been drawing praise in years prior, both for an excellent TED-x talk and performance and a viral cover of “Hey Ya.”
