“Girls Wait” is the latest track from Field Trip to the Moon, the project of Angela Christofilou that impressed a couple years ago with the track “You.” Christofilou’s captivating, moody vocal presence and suave rock arsenal remains, with this track exuding a darkening bluesy aesthetic, as the lyrics venture into themes of abandonment, heartbreak, infidelity, and the ongoing quest to break free. “Girls Wait” is the first of a series of singles FTTTM is releasing throughout the year. It’s an enthralling piece that has me anticipating the project’s upcoming releases.
