Nyssa – “I Don’t Wanna Live On The Moon (Without U)”

/

After impressing with the track “Hey Jackie” last month, Toronto-based artist Nyssa is back with another success that infuses a confident vocal swagger amidst an engaging melody, one that melds a buzzing guitar with twinkling keys.

The track is dubbed as a “a sci-fi pulp satire call to arms—or call to the dance floor—in the age of climate catastrophe,” a vibe echoed well in the video’s colors and effects. “I Don’t Wanna Live On The Moon (Without U)” was self-produced alongside various friends and collaborators in the Toronto scene: Matthew Aldred (Michael Rault, Teenage Man), Zack Burgess (Gardenworld, Kremlin), Carlyn Bezic (Ice Cream, Darlene Shrugg), on guitar, bass, drums, and synths, respectively. I continue to anticipate anything Nyssa releases.

“I Don’t Wanna Live On The Moon (Without U)” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2019’ Spotify playlist.
