Arden & the Wolves – “Another Year Of Rain”

/

Arden & the Wolves specialize in a darker, brooding vein of rock. The project’s track “Another Year of Rain” recently released with a new music video, capturing the track’s emphasis on destructive relationships. “The EP that this song is featured on, Who Can You Trust, explored the theme of healing and releasing the trauma of abuse, assault, and abandonment,” project leader Arden Leigh says. “For the video for Another Year Of Rain, I wanted to move on from the simplistic villain/victim paradigm and begin to explore the nuances of complicity and the romanticization of certain types of harm in relationship as “passion.”” A vocal interlude at 02:52 is one of several highlights, in addition to the hypnotic drive of the alt-rock arsenal.

“Another Year Of Rain” and other memorable tracks released in February 2018 can also be streamed on Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of Feburary 2018’ Spotify playlist.
