Münechild – “It Takes Time”

/

Münechild is a project from Sacramento, crafting a mysteriously inviting sound throughout a recently released self-titled LP. Conjuring a dream-pop haze with a rock sound fit for nighttime driving, “It Takes Time” is a highlight from the album. The “go slow,” bridge is accompanied by murky post-punk guitars tones, followed by an escalating vocal passion in the final 30 seconds or so. The LP is a very pleasant listen, with highlights like “It Takes Time” and the Tame Impala-esque “Someday” standing out.

The artist elaborates on the track:

“It Takes Time” is about trying to understand the nature of romance, the constant attempt to do better within a relationship, and an attempt to do better within life itself. These efforts may go unacknowledged, but sometimes all we can do is appreciate the countless times we tried to do better, and celebrate the growth of ourselves and each other. However, all of this may take some time to fully understand.
