Tanya Gallagher – “Dark Side”

“Dark Side” is a catching new track from Florida singer/songwriter Tanya Gallagher, who first caught my ear with the track “Virginia” in September 2016. It’s an addictive track, with a confident stylistic approach and memorable melody. The “dark side of the moon,” chorus shows some added vocal swoons and suave guitar tones. Aesthetically, Gallagher takes a cue from classic folk artists like Joni Mitchell, as well as more recent singer/songwriter successes like Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette.

The track comes via Gallagher’s new EP One Hand On My Heart, streaming on Spotify.

“Dark Side” and other memorable tracks released in July can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2019’ Spotify playlist.
