Jackson Davis – “In the Morning”

/

Jackson Davis is a songwriter and producer from Chicago, releasing the track “In the Morning” today. The second release from his upcoming album, “In the Morning” starts with a prominent organ-fronted bounce. The vibrant, bouncy feel of the track from the get-go provides an inviting feeling, enhanced upon the arrival of melodic vocals just prior to the one-minute mark. Per the artist, the track “wraps the themes and struggles of anxiety and mundanity into a deceptively upbeat, psychedelic pop song.” The “I can’t seem to catch my breath in the morning,” bridge leads nicely into the very melodic “not ready to…” hook, followed by a synth-touched interlude. “In the Morning” is a catching piece of songwriting from Jackson Davis, whose album I’m certainly anticipating.

“In the Morning” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2019’ Spotify playlist.
