Mother Sun – “Sucralose”

/

Hazy psych-pop gem “Sucralose” is the newly released single from Mother Sun, a band Based in Kamloops, British Columbia. Quaint keys and vocals lead initially, with gradual expansion as the one-minute mark approaches. This particular build-up, with its lo-fi vocal appeal and melodic hypnotic allure, reminds fondly of early Ariel Pink. 02:06 sees a transition into beautifully dazed guitars, which cast a dreamy quality alongside the more sporadic vocals. An emotive vocal plea ends this quality track in top form.

“Sucralose” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2020’ Spotify playlist.
