Cap’n Marble – “Come 2 California”

/

Released today from Cap’n Marble, “Come 2 California” showcases the duo’s pop-minded hooks and lushly melodic surf-tinged aesthetic. The track comes from their newly released EP of the same name, touting four memorable tracks with similarly sunny, hook-friendly vibes. “Come 2 California” sports shimmering acoustics and laid-back vocals, with various layers converging past the 30-second mark for a psych-friendly touch during the chorus. The surf-y vibes around 01:03 are difficult not to love, as well. Cap’n Marble is comprised of John Dasilva and Ryan Arshonsky, both from the Southern California area, though meeting and beginning the project in Boston at Berklee College of Music. Come 2 California is a very pleasing EP with tranquilly melodic vibes fit for aiding troubled times.

“Come 2 California” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
