Memoryy – “First Love” (feat. Troy Ramey)

/

“First Love” is an enjoyably atmospheric pop collaboration from Memoryy and Troy Ramey. Memoryy’s production guides the spotlight toward Ramey’s consuming vocal presence, with jumpy acoustics and snap-laden percussion comprising minimalist verses to start. The track’s second half sees infectious backing vocal effects and bass-laden expansion, with the bass-y expansion hitting especially hard upon the “you were my first love,” lyric. The track is a surefire success from Memoryy, featured many times in the past, and Ramey, a semifinalist from NBC’s The Voice.

“First Love” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2020’ Spotify playlist.
