The Caracals – “R U N”

The blistering rocker “R U N” is the latest from The Caracals, the Orange County-based project fronted by Johnny Cisneros. Previously impressing with the tracks “City Girl” and “Catch Your Eye,” “R U N” continues The Caracals’ strong knack for energetic, hooky rock. Showing an exhilarating guitar-based expansion just 15 seconds in, “R U N” kicks into gear quickly. The vocals, balancing suaveness and anthemic uproar, play convincingly between suaver sections (01:00) and ensuing rises, like 10 seconds thereafter. Chalk it up as another success for this project.

More info on the track below, from the artist:

“R U N,” is a call to action to fight for what you believe in. The acronym “R U N” is the question, Are You In? The song is asking the listeners and people as a whole if they are going to join the movements for change happening in our country now. I am planning to donate a portion of the proceeds of this song to help organizations helping the movement against police brutality.

“R U N” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2020’ Spotify playlist.
