Released today from Barry Carroll, “Better” is an upbeat folk-pop gem. Impressing with the track “Faye” last month, Carroll continues to show an accessible, melodic sound. “Better” pursues a more organic folk sound. Following initial pleasantries, strings beautifully complement a vocal duet in the second half. “Don’t let life pass you by,” the track concludes with, a charming ending following the feel-good vibes. “Faye” and “Better” have me anticipating the upcoming full-length from Carroll, out later this year.
