Echo Frame – “On the Avenue”

///

Catching my ear with the excellent “Blue for Many Moons” in July, Vancouver-based artist Echo Frame again struts a delectable jangle-pop sound with suave immersion. “On the Avenue” sports a romantic, more ballad-forward tone (per the artist, “reminiscing about where a love began.”). The aesthetic fondly reminds me of Richard Hawley (and tracks like “Ocean”). “On the avenue,” repeats over jangly guitars into the conclusion, bringing the tidy and hypnotic gem to a close. “On the Avenue” is another delight from Echo Frame.

“On the Avenue” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
