Limón Limón – “Long Distance”

//

The stylish “Long Distance” is the latest from Los Angeles-based duo Limón Limón. Strutting a synth-pop sound fit for late night drives, “Long Distance” rides on a pulsing, lush synths and bass to start, briskly moving into a poppier, effervescent bridge. “Long distance is fooling us,” the chorus resonates with punchy synths. The retrowave tones construct an irresistible soundscape, combining with a stellar hook to make for a very satiating track. Per the duo, the track “reflects on a relationship derailed by constant separation, yet held together by the illusion of a love that has long since passed.” I’m looking forward to what’s next from Limón Limón.

“Long Distance” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Electro-Pop.
