“Blow My Mind” is the latest from Midnight Mystery Club. Serenely confident vocals and pulsing synths lead a breezy electro-minded pop arsenal, also showing some Phil Collins-esque charm in the vocal delivery, like 2016’s previously featured track “Run.” The one-minute mark sees various vocal layers, lingering in reverb, as extra doses of synths form a lush and delightful soundscape. 02:30 also sees playful synth tones that emerge alongside this vocal hook. “Blow My Mind” is further demonstration of songwriter David Paul Newell’s talents, following up acclaimed 2018 debut album Reason or Rhyme.
